A Gainesville man is in jail Thursday after authorities say he killed a man and attempted to kill another during an armed robbery in the Tower Road neighborhood Sunday.
Bryan Gerod Williams, 32, entered a home in the 1200 block of Southwest 75th Drive at about 1 a.m., according to a news release from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.
Williams broke into the house with a gun to commit a robbery, according to an arrest warrant obtained by the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies found Jonathan Morris, 25, dead inside the residence.
Another man inside the house, Dallas Gianos, 22, had been shot by Williams and was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital with critical injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
Williams was arrested Wednesday on charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder and armed robbery.
