Gun Control by Taxation

Earlier I wrote an article featuring a video on a gun store getting closed due to pressure from state laws. I mentioned that the easiest way to implement a kind of gun control is making them more difficult to get by attacking the suppliers over the Second Amendment itself.

There is a new tax policy being pushed which directly targets the gun markets and raising the taxes on the sale and manufacture of firearms as well as ammunition.

Of course, this will increase the price of them for the public.

By doing everything they can to make the manufacture and sale of firearms less profitable without a price hike – eventually making the taxes too high for smaller manufacturers and retailers to do business – and making it harder for the public to get them through price increases, eventually they will arrive at a point where getting guns is a massive pain for economic reasons.
