Okay, so 5 dead. Photo looks like it could just as easily be Arab/Paki as “Hispanic.”

Unless he was speaking Spanish, I don’t know how you would otherwise know from that photo. I haven’t seen any articles giving a description of him as speaking Spanish, or giving any other indicators that he was Hispanic rather than Arabic. In most of these cases, they say “White male,” and then it turns out to be a Moslem or a Black guy, so they aren’t really good with identifying race.
12 hours after the attack, there is still no ID. They have to have better photos than the one above – CCTV is high def in Macy’s.
It does definitely appear that the targets were random – he killed four women and a man in the make-up department of Macy’s with a hunting rifle. It’s not clear why mall staff let him bring a hunting rifle into the mall.
Was it in a guitar case?
He’s still on the run.

Someone has to stop these Nazis!
Police in Washington state were searching for at least one gunman Friday evening after at least four people were shot and killed at a mall north of Seattle.
Washington State Patrol spokesman Sgt. Mark Francis told KCPQ that the victims were shot inside the Macy’s store at the Cascade Mall in Burlington shortly before 7 p.m. local time.
Francis tweeted that the suspect was described as a Hispanic male wearing gray who was last seen walking toward Interstate 5. Francis added that there may be more shooters and police were in the process of clearing the mall.
It was not immediately clear whether there had been any non-fatal injuries. Francis told KCPQ that authorities had to clear the mall before EMS personnel could enter the building.
I’m not sure “Hispanic” makes sense. Could just be a small Arab.
It is an upscale mall, so it likely is not gang-related.
