Why do these yard apes always insist on including their middle names?
Do they think it makes them sound sophisticated or something?
Baltimore police filed charges in the killing of Timothy Moriconi, saying he was killed as part of an attempted robbery.
Deandre Devon Sleet, 23, of Baltimore, was charged with first- and second-degree murder in the killing of Moriconi Sept. 27 in his Federal Hill neighborhood in the 1200 block of Riverside Avenue. Moriconi, 25, was found with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
City police said they recovered a gun that was matched by ballistics to the killing.
Kiara Treasure Wesley, 23, was charged with a gun violation and additional charges are pending.
Police said Sleet shot Moriconi and Wesley drove the getaway car.
Police said surveillance video from residents helped crack the case.
“We were able to get a vehicle description off of some of the surveillance video we had and officers were able to track down that vehicle (Wednesday night), and inside of that vehicle were two suspects,” Baltimore police media relations Chief T.J. Smith said.
Police said Sleet and Moriconi did not know each other, and they could not say what connection, if any, the suspects had to the neighborhood.
Police said the suspects are also connected to other robbery investigations.
