Hardtack is a long lasting foodstuff for an emergency supply ration. They’re cheap, easy to make, and good enough to live on for awhile if you absolutely have to. Just store them in a dry place and wait for the time when you’ll need them, situations like tornadoes, blizzards, riots, alien insect invasion, whatever.
