A Fort Wayne man wanted in the December 2016 shooting death of 22-year-old Codi McCann near an alley off East State Boulevard is due for transport back to Allen County to face charges.
The charges against Quentin Stewart, 28, have not been made public. However, Stewart was taken into custody Wednesday in Lake County and was being held there until he is transported to Allen County, according to Michael Joyner, public information officer for the Fort Wayne Police Department.

Stacey Davis, McCann’s mother, said she believed her son was the victim of an attempted armed robbery as he sat in an alley in the 2200 block of California Avenue around 10 p.m. The man she believed shot and killed her son was one of two men who arrived on their own at a hospital and was also shot. McCann was armed and probably shot his assailant, Davis said at the end of 2016.
