Does anybody care about Venezuela?
It seems like it’s the perfect country to invade because of the ideological confusion that you have surrounding it.
Think about it.
Liberals are all Deep State shills and blindly support whatever they’re told to support.
Conservatives are pretty pro-war generally. They’re excited to go into Venezuela and “fight Communism there, so it doesn’t come here.”
Except that it has already come here, and the only people who tried to do anything about it ended up getting rounded up by the police and thrown into jail.
But whatever…
Socialists seem to be the only ones who are making a big fuss about this thing. But it’s only the fringe-left, like RT’s America desk and Jimmy Dore. Everyone else has gotten the memo and joined their neoliberal shill colleagues in calling for regime change.
The people of Venezuela are enduring a serious humanitarian crisis. The Maduro government must put the needs of its people first, allow humanitarian aid into the country, and refrain from violence against protesters.

And you’ve got the True Right of course, which is against the intervention, but our opinions are not deemed acceptable in polite society so that’s that.
The consensus overlap between the neo-libs and the Normiecons on this issue means that this intervention has the blessing of the only two respectable purveyors of political opinion in society.
That’s why it’s moving along so fast, with bipartisan support and no one throwing a fuss.
