It is believed by Kamala Harris that the man on the right may be the Mayor of Tijuana.
Senator Kamala Harris, who is currently the frontrunner for receiving the 2020 Democratic Presidential Candidate Nomination, recently suggested that the law-enforcement agency ICE is akin to the KKK, in that it is a racist hate group intended to instill fear into racial minorities using domestic terrorism.
It is understandable that Kamala has a special place in her heart for fear of the KKK, because she is half black.
I wonder, however, why Kamala, who is half Indian, did not also make a point to compare ICE to Pakistanis and Bangladeshis – certainly, those two groups were more brutal in their treatment of her other biological half than the KKK ever was of her black half.
A million people died in the original 1947 partition of India, most of them were probably Pakistanis (there were a lot of mass graves and no one really knows who was who), but still. Even more than that died in the 3 wars that followed the initial partitioning war.
After the violent street war in Calcutta, there were so many bodies on the street that they couldn’t burn them before the vultures showed up.
According to the most liberal estimates, the KKK killed 3,500 people during their entire nearly century-long existence as a militant vigilante group, mainly by lynching black men accused of raping or sexually assaulting white women.
Pakistan also drove millions of Indians off of their land, without compensation, in a death-march that led to tens of thousands of starvations, with some of these families still living homeless or in squatter camps to this day.
Of course, a lot more Moslems died in these wars than Hindus (by orders of magnitude), but a whole lot more whites have died at the hands of blacks than the other way around (by orders of magnitude), so that shouldn’t factor into Kamala’s analogy.
Though it is impossible to know exactly, it is safe to say that approximately 1000 times more Indians were killed by Pakistanis (slash Bangladeshis) than blacks were killed by the KKK, and they were almost entirely killed at random merely due to their ethnic heritage, whereas blacks killed by the KKK were all at least accused of specific crimes.
Furthermore, the Indian partition and subsequent wars are a lot more recent than KKK lynchings.
So given that Kamala is just as much Indian Hindu as she is African-American, I think a comparison between ICE and Pakistanis would have been much more impactful and relevant to her personally.
So it is an extreme question of importance why Kamala choose the KKK analogy to demonize ICE rather than a Pakistani analogy.
But let us ask yet another important question with regards to Kamala’s claim that anyone who deals with criminal brown people as if they are brown criminals is akin to the KKK.
Is the Mayor of Tijuana a Member of the KKK?
One of the migrant caravans which has come up from Central America is currently swamping the border town of Tijuana, Mexico.
The mayor of that city has had some choice words for this group of brown movers.
Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum said Thursday that caravan migrants arriving by the hundreds are no longer welcome, an increasingly common sentiment among residents of the Mexican border city.
Gastelum described the caravan of Central American migrants as a “horde” that has been infiltrated by criminals who now threaten the community, in an interview with Milenio Television.
“Tijuana is a city of immigrants, but we don’t want them in this way,” the mayor, a member of the conservative National Action Party, said. “It was different with the Haitians, they carried papers, they were in order. It wasn’t a horde, pardon the expression.”
Gastelum called on the Mexican government to deport the caravan migrants as soon as possible.
“You’re going to tell me we have to respect human rights,” he said. “But human rights are for law-abiding humans.”
The mayor’s comments reflected anger among many Tijuana residents at the increasing number of caravan migrants who have been streaming into the city since last weekend. About 3,000 were there as of Thursday night, and thousands more are expected to arrive over the coming weeks.
Now, those certainly sound like statements that someone from ICE or the KKK would make.
Simply saying that a group of brown people are committing crimes is an act of racial hatred.
Is Juan Manuel Gastelum a members of the KKK?
The mustache is certainly suspicious, as this has become a symbol of white supremacy.
And his talking points with regards to a “horde” are straight out of the talking points menu of neon-nazi websites like the infamous Daily Stormer or the manual of the white supremacist organization ICE.
It’s time to get real about the true motivations of Juan Manuel Gastelum.
It’s time for Kamala Harris to call in Juan Manuel Gastelum for a Congressional hearing, where he should be forced to answer a series of humiliating questions about his racist attitudes.
Maybe she can take that opportunity to compare the Tijuana police to the Pakistanis who historically abused the other half of her own genetic legacy.
