Israel has repeatedly deployed a sophisticated computer virus to hack through the cybersecurity in hotels hosting the closed-door talks between world powers and Iran concerning the latter’s unsanctioned nuclear drive, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.
The US publication has previously reported that Israel spied on the closed-door negotiations between the P5+1 countries and Iran in an effort to gain details on the deal and drum up opposition to it. According to the March report, the Obama administration was angered not only by the espionage itself but also by the efforts to influence US lawmakers in order to undermine negotiations.
The allegations were denied by both White House and Jerusalem.
However the Wednesday report cites findings by the Moscow-based Kaspersky Lab security group allegedly linking Israel to the illicit gathering of information through a new version of the Duqu computer virus.
