Diversity Macht Frei

Cecile Kyenge is an MEP and formerly Italy’s Integration Minister.
“We need a law that punished parties that use racist posters. We must not allow there to be parties that preach hatred or incitement to hatred. And in all of Europe, not just in Italy. Otherwise, we are accepting that racist thoughts and discrimination should spread. We are in a democracy and all the world is free to express their opinions, but self-respect starts by respecting the ‘Other’.”
Last year, the Northern League politician Roberto Calderoli compared Kyenge to an orangutan. He is now being prosecuted for that. But Kyenge’s African father also performed some kind of voodoo-like ritual, supposedly to purge his “evil spirits”. Calderoli now believes he is under some kind of curse because lots of bad things have happened to him since.
