This is what the evangelicals send money to.
If you ask them about this, they’ll say the Christians must deserve it, because God’s Chosen Ones would never do anything wrong, ever.
It’s an evil blasphemy that is at the core of the decay of this country.
For several weeks, members of the small Christian community in Jerusalem’s Old City say they have felt under pressure from what they say is growing harassment and intimidation from violent Jewish ultranationalists.
Earlier this month, a man later identified by church authorities as a Jewish radical was wrestled to the ground and detained after he allegedly vandalised a statue of Jesus in the Church of the Flagellation. The church stands at the place where Christ is held to have taken the cross after being condemned to death by crucifixion.
“This is the church commemorating the suffering of Jesus, and exactly here, doing that is something very bad, very bad,” said Father Eugenio Alliata, responsible for the archeological collections at Terra Sancta Museum.
That incident followed a series of others, including one in which graffiti reading “Death to Armenians” and “Death to Christians” were scrawled in Hebrew on the walls of the Armenian Convent of Saint James, early in January.
“In the past two months, I would say, since the beginning of the new government, attacks like this are becoming very, very usual,” said Miran Krikorian, a restaurant owner in the Old City. “And the problem is that we are feeling that there’s nothing we can do about it.”
Israeli police say they have stepped up patrols around Christian sites in Jerusalem as churches report abuse by Jews following the swearing-in of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hard-right government.
As well as the statue defacement, the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, the office of the Latin rite Roman Catholic Archbishop of Jerusalem, said there had been at least four other reported incidents of vandalism or violent harassment.
In one, a group of religious Jews had thrown chairs and tables around an area near the headquarters of the Custody of the Holy Land, creating a “battleground” in the Christian quarter. In another, a Christian cemetery in Jerusalem was vandalised, it said.
No comment was available from a spokesman for Itamar Ben-Gvir, the ultranationalist Jewish settler in charge of police in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s six-week-old coalition – though both men have pledged to safeguard all citizens.
“When there is no strict reaction from the government, it is not only encouraging these people to behave in the same way, but it also gives us the feeling that the government wants to behave to the Christian minorities in this way,” said Father Aghan Gogchian, chancellor of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
This is of course totally accurate, and the Eastern Catholics are willing to say it out loud.
Jews hate Christians, they’ve hated Christians since they murdered Christ, and their entire identity is based around hating Christians.
I’ve been working towards a “last word” on the whole issue of the Jews being the chosen ones. It’s so dumb that it’s almost impossible to explain it in simple language. It’s really a trick of language, as well as a trick of history, with Jews claiming they follow the religion of the Old Testament and many Christians not understanding how dumb that is.
Many of these evangelicals are just sickening people, who get a power rush off the idea of Jews killing Moslems. Some of them are kind of cult minded, and just believe in very silly things all around. Some of them, however, are legitimately confused.
Here’s the most important thing to note: Judaism is a bastardization of Christianity. Insofar as the Jews use the Old Testament, Jews are using a Christian book. There is no meaning to the Old Testament without Christ.
Here’s the other thing: Saint Paul clearly stated that there was no more covenant with the Jews as an exclusive group of people. So you can’t believe that there is a chosen people – that in itself is a basic blasphemy. But even if you did believe there is a bloodline blessing of the ancient Israelites, there’s a very obvious problem: most of the Israelites who were in Palestine at the time of Christ became Christians. Most of them ended up in Europe, so Greeks and Italians definitely have that bloodline, and because it was 2,000 years ago, and people travel and people have sex, probably most white people have some blood from that region.
Okay?
Think of Saint Paul. He was an Israelite after Christ and he was a “Jew” (which is a word that in the New Testament means “one who rejects Christ”), and then he became a Christian. And where did he go? Greece.
In terms of how much blood the modern Jews have from that region – no more than the Greeks, for sure. Jews left Palestine not long after Christ and moved into Southern Europe and have been mixing their blood since.
The fact that the Jews practice a bastardized version of the religion of ancient Israel means exactly nothing at all other than that they rejected Christ and they are going to Hell.
But yes: I will do a longer version of that explanation in the future and go through the Bible verses and historical details with citations, just so we’re all clear on this.
I do still sometimes talk to good people who are just so hardwired with this “chosen people” blasphemy that they get all hung-up on condemning the Jews as satanic.
I’m here to help as much as I can.
