Yesterday, the American media started admitting that the ongoing Ukrainian spring counteroffensive is not really going very well.
On Wednesday, Zelensky had also said that the results were very bad, choosing to use the phrase “slower than desired.”
At the same time, Putin had announced that the entire thing had stopped.
However, as recently as Wednesday, the media was also printing headlines saying the Ukraine is on the verge of taking Crimea.
It is all so silly.
Late Thursday, a top hohol chieftain effectively admitted that the operation – which had been promoted for six months – has failed, but told people that there were many more such offensives coming.

Ukraine is already planning for its next ‘counter-offensive’ using the US-made Abrams tanks, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba told state broadcaster Suspilne on Thursday.
Washington promised Kiev about 30 Abrams tanks back in January. Asked whether they might arrive in time for the current operation, Kuleba said Ukrainians should look to the future instead.
“There is hope, but one should not think only in terms of this counter-offensive,” he said. “You should not look at this counteroffensive as the last and decisive one. There will be so many counteroffensives, as many as is needed to expel Russia from our territory.”

As Putin also pointed out this week, the Ukraine does effectively have unlimited equipment, as the West has made it clear they will send everything they have to get blown up – however, Putin noted, they do not have unlimited men.
Eventually, there will be no more teenage boys to grab off the streets and force into the war.
The Abrams is a “much more complex design” than the German-made Leopards that Ukraine was provided in the spring, Kuleba added.
Kiev launched its long-heralded attack on June 4, deploying several brigades armed with American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and German-made Leopards against Russian defenses in Zaporozhye and southern Donetsk.
President Vladimir Zelensky acknowledged on Wednesday that the advance had been “slower than desired.” Anonymous Western officials told CNN on Thursday that the attack was “not meeting expectations on any front.”

Ukrainian losses reportedly include 246 tanks, 152 infantry fighting vehicles – including 59 Western-made ones – 443 armored vehicles, 279 field artillery pieces and mortars, 42 multiple rocket launchers, ten fighter jets, four helicopters and 264 drones, according to the briefing.
Several Russian regions and organizations have offered bounties for the destruction or capture of any Leopard, Abrams or UK-made Challenger tanks provided to Ukraine. The first million-ruble prize for killing a Leopard was paid out to a Russian serviceman earlier this week.

This is the worst disaster in all of military history.
That might sound extreme, but it actually isn’t: there is no other time, ever in history, where people in the situation the Ukrainians are in would refuse peace talks. Therefore, this is the only situation where such a debacle as this was possible.
Also enabling it is the total lockdown on media in the Ukraine, where the people are being constantly told that they are really winning hard, and the Russians are on the verge of utter defeat.
It’s hard to believe that after this “counteroffensive,” which they spent so many months hyping and which turned out to be such a humiliating waste of life and billions in equipment, that Zelensky is going to be able to convince people domestically or internationally that it is a good idea to maintain the position that there will never be peace talks.
We’re at the point now where US/NATO has to either shit or get off the pot. Either they send their own troops in, or they fall back and begin to deescalate.
They are talking about a “frozen conflict” a la the Koreas. Russia has said they don’t agree to that, but depending on the terms, they might.
They could also tell Zelensky to surrender, and then announce in the media that the US wants to keep fighting but that they have to defer to Zelensky, the Jew who they installed as puppet dictator.
