If you want to see just how deranged the Left is becoming over the threat of “climate change,” take a look at this article from the German leftist site Neues Deutschland [New Germany]. The author argues that we need to get rid of cats and dogs to save the planet.
Let’s get rid of the mutts
Katharina Schwirkus says: four-legged friends not only foul parks and pavements; they are an unnecessary burden for the environment. They should finally disappear from our cities and our lives.
Alongside their disgusting excretions, pets are also bad for the climate, as they eat meat and thus contribute to emissions of carbon dioxide. The environmental footprint of a dog corresponds to a car driving 3700 km each year, that of a cat 1400 km. In Germany, the average vehicle drives 13000 km.
The CO2 footprint of dogs and cats may therefore seem vanishingly small, but think about this: the environmental footprint of a German cat is on average exactly the same as that of an Egyptian. The values indicated assume the animals are eating standard food. The better the food, the worse the effect on the climate.

Whoever wants to do something good for the climate should not buy either a dog or cats. Over the long-term, the breeding of these four-legged friends should cease. Even in the countryside they are a burden for the environment. For one thing, dog and cat droppings are not easily degradable. For another, cats naturally follow their hunting impulses but don’t eat the prey they catch, just train their instincts.
There’s more in a similar vein. The article reads like a parody. But it’s for real.
Love of animals is one of the intrinsic markers of Europeanness, and this green nonsense represents an abnegation of who we are.
Chinks eat dogs. Moslem taxi drivers don’t let dogs into their cabs. Jews ban dogs from their cities. Only a European would jump into a river to save one.
A case can even be made that it was the Europeans’ affinity for animals that led to their subsequent greatness. The taming of wild horses gave extraordinary advantages in agriculture, in mobility and in war.
And one interesting take on White Genocide is that it was our affinity for animals that ultimately led to our present predicament. The argument is that by taming animals – which necessarily involved establishing a close relationship with them, particularly horses and dogs – Europeans developed an enhanced faculty of empathy compared to other people. We learned to sympathize with the “Other.” Then, when we came into contact with other races, this sense of empathy fatally misfired. Instead of ruthlessly pursuing our own interests to the maximum possible extent, we allowed ourselves to be restrained by a regard for their well-being. We sympathized with browns the same way we sympathized with animals. In the end, we allowed them to colonize us and manipulate us with moral sophistries that would work on no other people in the world.
It will be a great thing if Jews, Moslems, browns and Leftists start a campaign of genocide against dogs and cats. This will lead to sharp polarization in the undeclared race war we are already in. The tragedy is that the Whites unwilling to take up arms to defend their own interests might well prove willing to do so to save their pets.
