Well, this sure is optimistic, Lindsey, you creepy alleged pederast freak.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Sunday he thought Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s speech blasting former President Donald Trump would be used against Republicans in campaign ads in 2022 when the party fights to reclaim the Senate.
McConnell, R-Ky., slammed Trump for potential criminal conduct moments after he voted for acquittal in the 57-43 vote Saturday in the Senate impeachment trial. The vote fell short of the two-thirds majority needed for conviction.
McConnell, in a roughly 20-minute floor speech, said Trump’s “crescendo of conspiracy theories” caused the Jan. 6 Capitol riots for which he was “practically and morally responsible.”
Graham, a staunch defender of Trump, said Sunday on Fox News Sunday that McConnell’s words would be used against Republicans in campaign advertising next year, when the party hopes to pick up enough seats to retake control of the Senate.
“He got a load off his chest, obviously, but unfortunately he put a load on the back of Republicans,” Graham said. “That speech you will see in 2022 campaigns.”
As I wrote on Sunday, Mitch McConnell’s speech was, according to polls, only possibly in line with the beliefs of 1 in 5 Republicans. This means that this speech would have been like Chuck Schumer giving a Charlton Heston style “from my cold dead hands” speech about gun control, given that about 1 in 5 Democrats support gun rights.
It is not simply going to haunt the GOP in 2022. It was effectively an announcement that the GOP is at war with their own voters, outright refusing to represent them.
Who the hell even is this person? Does anyone know?
Why is he the leader of the Republican Party, when no one likes him, agrees with him, or even really knows who he is?
What sort of a system even is this? You elect representatives, who claim to believe in something, but they actually believe in something different – or maybe in fact believe in nothing – and don’t do anything you voted for them to do, and instead do the opposite?
Well, that system is called “democracy,” and it is insane that we allow this type of government. We have absolutely no ability to air grievances, and are simply left with no ability to influence anything. We have overlords, who have their own agenda, and we are told to vote for them under the pretext that the other guys are worse.
This is unworkable.
It is time to do something different.
I don’t know what that different thing is, but it is unacceptable to have politicians we are told represent us who do the opposite of what we want them to do, citing their own value system.
If Mitch McConnell has a strong value system that is opposed to the views of the Republican voters, he should go get a job in a left wing activist organization. He should not be representing the White Christian people of this country.
We have to stop voting.
When we vote, we are giving evil monsters like Mitch McConnell – whose wife is a Republic of China spy – carte blanche to do whatever they want to us.
