Madman Duterte Goes to War with the Catholic Church

Wow, Duterte is going full on against the Church.

Talk about dgaf.

wew.

But, to put it into some context here… the Philippines is a very Godly nation, but they are not especially religious. They don’t really know or understand or care to know or understand any of the details about Catholic dogma or doctrine.

I’ve spent years in the country, and I’ve never met a Filipino who had any kind of understanding of the Catholic religion. They are mostly just on about “God” and praying and lighting candles because this will make good things happen.

So when Duterte attacks the Church but says he has a different version of God, they can easily just say “ah, okay.”

Plus, he is just too popular for anything he says to matter at all. It’s like Trump saying he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and still win.

Duterte, by any objective measure, has the highest approval rating of any leader in the world (of a country that doesn’t have strict media control – Kim or Xi might be technically higher, but it isn’t really a fair comparison).

RT:

Rodrigo Duterte has defended his provocative remarks after facing stiff criticism from Catholics who branded him a “madman” for calling God “stupid.” The Philippines’ president reiterated that “his God” has plenty of common sense.

“I did not say my God was stupid,” Duterte said in Filipino, speaking in Cagayan de Oro on Monday. “Your god is not my god because your god is stupid. Mine has a lot of common sense.”

Raised as a Catholic, the 73-year-old leader lashed out against the Church, claiming that no one can “bind” him to any faith. “If I choose not to believe in any God, what’s the “f*****g thing about it? It’s about the freedom to choose one,” he said.

After facing an avalanche of condemnation from Church leaders following his remarks on Friday over his interpretation of the original sin story in the Bible, in which he called God’s decision “stupid,” on Monday he also questioned the canonization process. In particular, the Philippine leader brought up the issue of the Last Supper and the pictorial interpretation of the final meal Jesus shared with the Apostles before the crucifixion.

“Who are the idiots there?” Duterte wondered in a mix of Filipino and English. “The people in the painting were suddenly made saints just because they were there.”

Ouch.

The presidential spokesperson tried to defuse the controversy, explaining that Duterte’s interpretation of the Bible was influenced by his own “unpleasant” experience with Catholicism. Meanwhile, Bishop Arturo Bastes urged over 70 million Church followers in the country to pray for their “madman” president.

“Duterte’s tirade against God and the Bible reveals again that he is a psychological freak, a psychopath, an abnormal mind who should have not been elected as president of our civilized and Christian nation,” Bastes said, as Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo deemed the president’s opinion as “blasphemous.”

Duterte’s tirade was also labeled as “blasphemy” by the opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes and pro-life Philippines chairman Raul Nidoy.

Duterte admitted during his run in 2015 that has was buggered by a priest as a boy, but that isn’t really what this is about.

This is about the SJW Pope putting pressure on the Filipino Church to put pressure on Duterte. They want him to stop his drug war policies and they ultimately want to remove him from power, so he’s decided to just take them head on.

The Catholic Church has become a destructive entity, across the entire world. They push evil policies. They are destroying Europe – they were one of the deciding factors in the migrant crisis, because apparently the conversion of Europe to Islam is part of their agenda.

In the Philippines, besides working directly with politicians and clergy to attack and undermine Duterte, they are also working with all of these UN missions and UN-linked NGO groups that are attempting to undermine his zero tolerance policy on Drugs.

They are a force of evil.

If I were him, I wouldn’t have gone about this with actual blasphemy, but hey – that’s his style. It’s a very Tony Montana style of governance.

Young guys should watch that movie a couple times, I recommend. By the way.

There is a lot there about masculinity.

Obviously, don’t literally become a murdering drug dealer, and don’t lose your mind going mad with power, but the attitude presented, the way the character handles himself, the way he takes care of business and makes something of himself, never letting anyone stop him – there is certainly something to learn there.

On the spectrum of [WHICHEVER MARVEL MOVIE HERO] to Tony Montana, you want to be a lot closer to Tony Montana in the way you live your life.

I advise that strongly.

You should know how to handle yourself around people, and you should be in control of situations. In any human situation, there is someone in control of the situation. That person should either be you or someone you trust.

In the modern world, men have become afraid to be in control of situations, and so in most situations, if there is a woman there, she is de facto in control of the situation. You can very easily take that control away from her, with words, eye-contact and body language, without creating a scene, if you know how to carry yourself.

Sadly, most of us were not taught by our fathers how to do this (personal thing: I am one of the lucky ones who actually was shown this by my father, when he was around). And you can’t just find a masculine mentor on the street. So we are reduced to watching old movies.

That is funny and sad, but also very true.

No joke.

Watch Scarface.

Then try to pretend to be more like Tony Montana in human interactions. Channel that.

Watch Clint Eastwood too. Dirty Harry.

Sometime I’ll make a list.
