She could bring down the sexist, racist, anti-tranny Bernie Sanders once and for all.
But she’d better act fast.
The Duchess of Sussex wants to become more ‘politically engaged’ and could even intervene in the US presidential election, it has emerged.
A Royal source said: ‘The Duchess is said to be frustrated that she was forced to stay out of politics after getting engaged to Harry.
‘She has strong political opinions and will now take advantage of the greater freedom she has to express them publicly.’
It comes as the Duchess posted never-before-seen pictures on the Sussex Royal Instagram of her during a trip to Rwanda in March 2016 – four months before she met Harry on a blind date.
The source claims Meghan may make some sort of intervention in the US presidential election later this year.
Before she met Harry, the American actress attacked Donald Trump for being ‘divisive’ and ‘misogynistic’.
She refused to meet him during his state visit to the UK in May, opting to stay at home with baby Archie.
While the Duchess no longer needs to adhere to the convention that the royals stay above party politics, she could still provoke a diplomatic storm if she chose to renew her attacks on Trump or become involved in politics in Canada – where she and Harry are now living with baby Archie.
…
In 2018, it was claimed Meghan had once told a close associate her ultimate ambition was to be president of the US.
The conversation apparently took place after Meghan began her romance with Harry.
‘Meghan was quite clear that she wanted to be president one day,’ the source claimed.
Three years earlier, she reportedly told journalist Piers Morgan she had not always sought showbusiness success.
‘As a kid, I wanted to be either the president or a news broadcaster like you,’ she told him.
Meghan retained her US passport after applying for British nationality, as dual citizenship is permitted.
Former Times editor Sir Simon Jenkins has said: ‘Her friends and associates affirm that she is a political animal.
‘Such is her fame, she could perfectly well follow a route taken by a certain Ronald Reagan.
‘She might lead for the Democrats against a Republican Ivanka Trump. All I can say is, why not?’
Why not?
Well, I’m pretty sure that the Mueller Investigation established that it is illegal for people from other countries to publicly voice opinions on American politics. We still don’t really understand how that works or what it actually means, but if it is illegal for Russian nationals to buy political ads on Facebook, then it is definitely illegal for a British Duchess to support a political candidate in America.
Meghan is technically American still, I guess, but I don’t think that matters. She’s an official of a foreign government. In some capacity that no one seems to understand.
I just hope Meghan doesn’t voice support for Bernie Sanders if he gets the nomination.
If she does, then the Democrats will say that Bernie only won because of “British meddling,” and they’ll bring back Mumblin’ Mueller to do another kooky three-year investigation.
