At least one of three people who died in connection with a house fire was shot to death, and now city police believe they know who pulled the trigger.
31-year old J. Trinidad Ramirez II faces a murder charge and appeared before a judge Wednesday afternoon.
The arrest comes as detectives investigate the April 10 incident in the 1800 block of Rosemont Drive.
Crews responding to a house fire call discovered two men dead inside the home. A third person who was pulled from the house died a short time later.
Investigators later ruled that Marcos Ildefonso Casares, 37, was shot to death, and the coroner ruled his death a homicide.
The coroner identified the two other men found inside the home as 51-year-old Doak Stanley McBride and 32-year-old Kyle Gregory Call, both of Fort Wayne. Cause and manner of death have not yet been nailed down for either of those victims.

Court documents indicate that Casares and Ramirez knew each other from East Chicago.
A witness told police he went to the home April 10th with Ramirez and Casares to party.
He said at some point Ramirez and Casares started yelling at each other, that Casares pulled out a gun, but that Ramirez wrestled it away and used it to shoot Casares multiple times.
That witness says Ramirez then set a blanket on fire, tossed it on a loveseat, then took off.
Kyle Call and Doak McBride were in the home at the time.
Authorities don’t know for sure how they died.
