He’s also facing weapons charges.
But that’s the least of his problems right now.
The man named by police as a person of interest in the death of Alison Sargent is facing weapons charges.
Jose Juarez, 25, was arraigned Tuesday in Calhoun County District Court on charges of receiving and concealing a firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon. He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
Calhoun County Sheriff Department Det. Jon Pignataro said Thursday that Juarez was charged after a gun was recovered in a case of felonious assault in Springfield in February.

Pignataro said Juarez, an acquaintance, remains a person of interest in the death of Alison Sargent, 25, of Pennfield. Her burned body was found along River Road in Emmett Township but investigators have not disclosed the cause of death.
Police said at the time they also were looking for her car but have not disclosed if it was ever recovered.
The mother of two daughters had been reported missing two days earlier and her body was found by a passer-by off the edge of the road and in a small ravine. Police believe she was killed in Bedford Township.
Members of the Calhoun County Major Crimes Task Force conducted the investigation and a $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Sargent’s death.
