A 28-year-old Gambian immigrant was arrested by the police in Milan, after striking a police officer who had asked for his documents during a check.
The attack took place at 16.20 yesterday in Via Benedetto Marcello, where the African was caught peddling. At the sight of the policemen he threw away an envelope that contained the substance (and that was not recovered) and immediately afterwards attacked the agent in warheads.
The 28-year-old, who has precedents, was arrested for resistance and injury to a public official.
