Just in: total narrative reversal from the US government!
Script flipped!
(To be fair, Milley was not the one out there pumping this. He is a tool and a scumbag, but he has not really been a cheerleader, and has actually tried to call for peace but has been shouted down and told to shut up. After being told to shut up, he did shut up, but he still never really said all this kooky stuff you heard from Brandon and the State Department.)
RT:
Ukraine’s counteroffensive against Russia will be extremely costly for its troops and will continue for a couple of months, US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley said on Friday.
Speaking at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, the top US military commander offered his take on the Ukraine conflict, saying, “it doesn’t surprise me at all” that Kiev’s much-hyped counteroffensive is going slower than expected.
“What I had said was this is going to take six, eight, ten weeks. It’s going to be very difficult. It’s going to be very long and it’s going to be very, very bloody,” he said, noting that Kiev’s advance has been hampered by Russian minefields.
“No one should have any illusions about any of that,” he stressed, adding that Ukraine is fighting for survival against a strong adversary.
People do have illusions of that, because of the US government’s propaganda machine, which said the Russians were a bunch of bumbling morons who kept forgetting to fill the gas tanks in their trucks. The entire narrative has been about portraying Russians as stupid, evil, and completely incompetent.
The world population was explicitly told that Russia is not a strong adversary. We were told, over and over again, for a year and a half, that they were weak and pathetic and running out of missiles any day now.
In terms of it being long, and there being progress in six, eight, or ten weeks – what is the evidence for this? It’s been almost four weeks – where is the argument that anything is going to change in the next six weeks? I mean, if ten weeks is the outside number, then we are approaching the halfway point, and there has been precisely zero progress.
Why would the plan to drive these tanks and trucks across open fields start working after weeks of failure?
We can all go on Deep State Maps, bro – that’s your own map. The line has not moved. They are still at the river, like they were in May.
More than 13,000 dead inside a month is no joke. And there is zero progress. Every time the Ukrainians “capture” some empty village where there aren’t even any Russian troops, they abandon it days later.
Russia had months to set up this line, and it’s a death trap.
This isn’t complicated.
Milley is a freak and a weirdo and should resign.
