Okay so we keep hearing about how the end of the Mueller probe is imminent. Trump submitted answers, CNN published them, the final report is coming.
But Jeff Flake needs to make a big show on the way out by taking a massive shit on the Senate floor.
So he’s doing this thing.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) announced Wednesday that he is canceling votes on nearly two dozen of President Trump’s judicial nominees that were expected to come up in the Judiciary Committee this week.
The cancellation of the committee’s Thursday business meeting comes as Senate Republicans are in a standoff with outgoing Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), who has vowed to oppose all court picks until he gets a vote on legislation protecting special counsel Robert Mueller.
The notification from the Judiciary Committee didn’t specify when, or if, the committee votes on the nominations would be rescheduled. Six circuit court nominees had been expected to get a vote, as well as 15 district court nominees.
But Grassley warned late Wednesday afternoon that he would likely cancel the meeting unless he could get a deal with Flake that would allow the nominations to move forward.
So this is literally “taking a shit on the floor.”
It’s not like getting shot, or having your house burned down, or being attacked by a pit bull. It’s just a sickening act designed to disgust and outrage you. If someone takes a shit on your floor, you can clean it up, but it’s outrageous, and it almost makes you angrier than if someone had just burned your house down.
This bill is not going to go through. We’re going to have a new Senate, without Jeff Flake, and that new Senate is gonna be like “nah.” Furthermore, the probe is supposed to be over before the new Congress meets next year.
Mike Huckabee said that this act is one of narcissism.
Flake is a selfish narcissist who would stop one of the few things he actually could do for his country-confirm responsible judges. His hate of @realDonaldTrump exceeds his sense of duty. His proposal is unconstitutional anyway. Good riddance! Go hide in an elevator! https://t.co/tvnGrESClQ

I disagree. It is self-aggrandizement, but it is intended to position himself for work in the private sector. He is also probably being directly bribed with various rewards he will get afterward, which might include a permanent position as a CNN commentator, as well as extremely profitable public speaking deals.
Jeff Flake is the slimiest of all scumbags.
Seriously. He’s not even Jewish.
