The circumstances around this woman’s death, along with her obnoxious nose ring, strongly suggest that some kind of toll has been paid here.
A Macon man is in jail on a murder charge after a woman was shot and killed Sunday.
The woman, 29-year-old Ashley Heberling, was found shot outside her apartment at the Retreat at Ragan Park Apartments around 10 a.m., the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says.
That’s off Masseyville Road in east Macon.
Heberling was taken to the hospital where she later died, deputies say.
Later that afternoon, the sheriff’s office asked the public for help in looking for 27-year-old Randy Singleton, Jr., who was wanted in connection with the homicide.
The sheriff’s office says Singleton ended up turning himself in to investigators later that night.
He was interviewed about Heberling’s death, then taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
He’s charged with murder and is being held without bond, the sheriff’s office says.
