The Armenians did the dumbest thing we’ve seen yet.
They had a pro-Western revolution and ditched Russia, their only significant ally – who had their back for like, 1,000 years or whatever.

The authorities of Azerbaijan’s breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh have announced the dissolution of the self-proclaimed republic after a Russian-mediated truce ended a flare-up of hostilities between Stepanakert and Baku.
Samvel Shahramanyan, the president of the unrecognized republic, issued a decree on Thursday ordering the “dissolution of all state institutions and their branches by January 1, 2024.”
“The Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) ceases to exist,” the announcement declared, as quoted by the NKR InfoCenter.

The document also says that the region’s inhabitants, including those who have fled, should “familiarize themselves with the conditions of reintegration offered by the Republic of Azerbaijan,” and make an independent decision about whether to return to Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to the decree, the dissolution is “in connection with the current difficult military-political situation” and is aimed at ensuring the safety of Nagorno-Karabakh residents, while taking into account the Russian-brokered agreement with Baku. The latter allows residents of the breakaway region, including military personnel who lay down their arms, to travel freely, the statement said.
Some of these assholes were actually protesting the Russian embassy for not helping them.
Of course, we don’t know how many of the people supported the 2018 revolution. You have a situation where women have all this power, and the youth are stirred up with all of this sexualized imagery from the media. You obviously can’t blame every Armenian.
But it’s a fact that Russia was standing by to assist, then they did this anti-Russian revolution. Whining that Russia isn’t assisting after that is dumb.
They actually were assisting, in fact. There were Russian peacekeepers there. They just weren’t going to do a huge war, while the entire government of Armenia is against them. Unfortunately, if Armenians were to try to reverse this revolution, it would be too late for Nagorno-Karabakh. This is now a done deal, and the population is evacuating.
Let this be a message to the world about what it means to be an ally of the United States.

In an interview with Deutsche Welle (DW), the Azerbaijani vice president claimed that people left Nagorno-Karabakh “freely”.

The incredible part is that the Azeris only made this move because they knew the Armenians had abandoned their Russian protectors. It’s a direct cause and effect.
