A naked British woman has been found dead in a hotel room in Vietnam.
The woman, who gave her name as Julia Anne Jay, was discovered after guests complained of a smell coming from her room.
Police in Ho Chi Minh City believe she could have been dead for several days.
The 43-year-old had rented a room at H.Y Hotel, Do Quang Dau Street in the city’s backpacker district since January.
Police are investigating but as yet there has been no news of how she died.
At 7am on Thursday morning, residents in the hotel area reported a foul odour.
Hotel staff forced open the door of room four on the second floor, finding the woman dead and naked on her bed with her body already in the early stages of decomposition.
