A Troy man is behind bars after allegedly stealing from a terminally ill man he had been hired to help.
State Police investigators say James Billups used the credit cards of a hospitalized man to make purchases throughout the Capital Region in 2017.
They say he continued to use the cards even after the man he was helping died. The family of the victim discovered the purchases while going through his estate.
