Life without the possibility of parole – that’s what Daniel Blakney heard Thursday morning when he was sentenced for his role in the murder of a 64-year-old man.
The killing stunned a Lake Wylie neighborhood three years ago when David Doyle was found dead inside his house.
From the evidence the jury heard, Doyle had been tortured.
Police say the house was ransacked. Prosecutors say the victim’s body was tied at the hands and feet.
The medical examiner says Doyle had multiple bruising, several broken bones. There was evidence of burning, stabbing and strangulation.
