Maybe the cop tried to do racism to him?
WCVB:
A Boston police officer was rushed to a local hospital after being shot in the leg in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood Friday morning.
The plainclothes officer, identified as Officer Kurt Stokinger, was seriously injured but is recovering well according to police.
The injured officer used a department-issued tourniquet to help stanch the blood flow from his wound.
“The leg was bleeding pretty good,” Evans said.
Tourniquets became standard issue just a few months ago, and officers had requested them after the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, union president Patrick Rose said.
The shooting suspect, identified as Grant Headley, 27, of Dorchester, was in custody and the firearm, a 40 mm handgun, was recovered, Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said.Headley is well-known to police, has served time in prison on firearms and drug charges and was on probation at the time of Friday’s shooting, Evans said.
Sources told 5 Investigates that Headley has had 40 criminal arraignments.
At about 10:20 a.m. Friday, the drug unit observed Headley driving on Mount Bowdoin Terrace near Eldon Street and knew he did not have a valid driver’s license. When officers pulled Headley over, he exited the vehicle shooting, hitting the officer in the calf, police said.
Headley is not expected to be arraigned Friday.
Other members of the drug unit pursued Headley on foot and apprehended him.
Evans said the shooting was unprovoked.
