A new caravan is rolling, kids.
Big trouble.
AP:
Another group of Central American migrants is setting out in a caravan in hopes that the strength of numbers will help them reach the United States.
About 300 Salvadorans departed Sunday from the Plaza El Salvador del Mundo in the capital of San Salvador. The group organized via Facebook, emulating several other recent caravans that have come together to help migrants with scant financial resources make the trip without paying hefty fees to human traffickers.
It’s unclear who organized the new group.
The group must travel about 75 miles (120 kilometers) to reach the border with Guatemala and another 185 miles (300 kilometers) to reach Mexico’s southernmost border.
A caravan of thousands of Central American migrants is currently making its way through southern Mexico, however Mexican authorities said Friday they had prevented a separate, smaller group from advancing.
The only Jew on Fox News says that these animals don’t threaten security.
But DHS has announced that they are not letting them through.
A caravan of Central American immigrants headed for the U.S. through Mexico “is not getting in,” Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen vowed on Sunday.
“My general message to this caravan is: Do not come,” Nielsen told “Fox News Sunday.” “You will not be allowed in.”
“There is a right way to immigrate to the United States,” she added, “and this is not it.”
Since its formation, the caravan has reportedly swelled to more than 7,000 people. But its size is nothing new, Nielsen said.
“We have a crisis at the border right now … [and] this caravan is one iteration of that,” Nielsen said. “Frankly, we essentially see caravans every day with these numbers.”
And the military is bracing for the strike.
Defense Secretary Jim Mattis announced Sunday that the military has already begun delivering countermeasures to the southern border, following reports over the weekend that Mexican police toting plastic shields abandoned their blockades in the face of a swelling Central American migrant caravan making its way to the U.S.
The Pentagon has sent jersey barriers in conjunction with plans to deploy active duty troops there, and full details of the number of troops to be deployed as well as their roles should be announced Sunday night, Mattis told reporters.
Trump said again last night that he’ll stop it.
It would certainly be better to get the discussion back on this topic in the week leading up to the midterms.
I don’t want to talk about fake bombs or dead Jews anymore. These are two things that I care so little about that I can’t even decide which I care less about.
The New York Times sure does care a lot about dead Jews.
Maybe more than I’ve ever seen them ever care about anything.
Interesting.
I wonder if that paper is run by Jews? Maybe that’s why they care so much about dead Jews?
