New Jersey: Party Police Shut Down Another Illegal Party

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy AKA The Party Police Chief

It’s really a strange thing that parties are illegal.

It’s even stranger that they’re still illegal after all of these months.

But then it really gets stupid when you realize that the US Government is trying to start a war with China to give them freedom.

I don’t even support a bunch of city-dwellers acting like monkeys in a fiasco zone. But that’s freedom. People have to have freedom, or what is the point of existence?

New York Post:

A massive rager at a mansion in New Jersey’s richest zip code was shut down by cops over the weekend — and neighbors say wild Vegas-like blowouts have been regularly held there despite the coronavirus pandemic.

Hundreds of carefree revelers — most without masks — were spotted outside the home on Hemlock Drive in Alpine for what promoters called “The Lavish Experience Pool Party” Saturday night, NBC New York reported.

Cops eventually were called to break up the bash, which spilled out onto the street with zero regard for social distancing rules.

One person was seen taken away in an ambulance, while others were passed out drunk on the front lawn, the outlet reported.

“Disconcerting in the extreme that we are forced to deal with something that shouldn’t be happening, especially in the time of this pandemic,” Alpine Mayor Paul Tomasko told The Post Tuesday. “We didn’t expect to see very much more of this, but we’ve been surprised and disappointed that we have.”

He said police first responded to a loud party at the home on June 5 and reached out to the property owner — but haven’t been able to put the kibosh on the rowdy ragers.

“He’s been in touch with our police chief from the incident and I think he’s well aware that we’re not pleased with what in our view is the clear abuse of a residential property with commercial purpose,” Tomasko said.

A neighbor told The Post that the wild affairs have been a regular occurrence since May, at the height of the coronavirus crisis. She said she’s seen party buses dropping off people for the bashes — which are brazenly advertised on social media.

“A few months ago, new neighbors moved in, renters,” the neighbor said. “They started having parties one weekend after another. They were bringing in full party buses, at least 100 people or more.”

Another neighbor who didn’t want to be named told NBC New York the house is practically doubling as a “nightclub.”

“I’ve been to Vegas a number of times and this is like a pool party that they throw there,” he said.

Really?

Are you sure about that?

Last month, an event dubbed “Bikinpalooza” was hosted there and another party was planned for this weekend.

One woman told NBC New York that she and her pals spent $1,000 to attend Saturday’s function, which included a shuttle ride from Brooklyn to the Garden State.

“I don’t know what kind of scheme, or what they was doing, what kind of scam it was, but I don’t appreciate how I was treated, my friends were treated, how packed it was,” the woman said.

A man who identified himself as the host denied that partygoers paid to get in.

“This is absolutely out of hand. I agree with all of that,” he told the outlet Saturday night. “This is not how we do things. It got out of control.”

The parties are now under investigation by local police, state officials and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Alpine Mayor Paul Tomasko told NBC New York.

Gov. Phil Murphy didn’t say what punishment the homeowner or hosts could face for throwing the parties as the state grapples with an increase in COVID-19 cases.

“Based on the description, there was close congregation and not a lot of face covering, if any,” Murphy said at his daily press briefing Monday. “If in fact people are busted and there was a promoted party, that’s not going to end well.

I believe you, Phil.
