Nigel Farage, I am beginning to fear, is a dumbass.
This interview is bizarre.
He says that Marin Le Pen’s problem is that she didn’t distance herself far enough from her evil racist father.
He then goes on to say (this is real, watch the video) that she’s going to win in 2022.
I am, in fact, all for being optimistic, but that’s just stupid.
By 2022, we’re going to be looking at an Islamic candidate. It’s going to be like that novel Submission (which I never actually read, but read a synopsis of).
The novel, a political satire, imagines a situation in which a Muslim party upholding traditionalist and patriarchal values is able to win the 2022 presidential election in France with the support of the Socialist Party. The book drew an unusual amount of attention because, by a macabre coincidence, it was released on the day of the Charlie Hebdo shooting.
That is a lot more likely of a thing than Le Pen winning.
Electoral politics are over.
It’s finished.
It’s not happening.
It’s time to start thinking differently.
