The NYPD is looking for two men who detectives say committed violent robberies in the West 60s earlier this month.
In the first incident, on August 18 at at 10:50 p.m, the two men came up from behind a 69-year-old woman and pushed her to the ground in front of 201 West 66th Street near Amsterdam, stealing her purse, which had a cell phone and credit cards. The victim was taken to Roosevelt Hospital with an injured arm and was listed in stable condition.
In the second incident, on August 20 at 1:20 a.m., a 25-year-old woman was walking near 5 West 63rd Street when two men came up to her on her left side and pushed her to the ground. They stole her purse, which contained $20 and credit cards. She did not report an injury.
The first suspect is described by police as a male, Black or Hispanic with a ponytail, heavy set and last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, two-tone shorts and black sneakers. The second suspect is described as a male, Black or Hispanic; medium build and last seen wearing a white t-shirt, white hat, white baseball cap, holding a yellow t-shirt and carrying a purse.
