The Toledo teen accused of brutally beating a 16-year-old with a baseball bat was sentenced in court Thursday to 8 years in prison.
18-year-old Terry Pearson pleaded guilty to Felonious Assault in May.
The attack on Marcus Bailey was back in December.
Police say Bailey was walking along Main Street in Toledo around 8 PM when a group of men got out of a vehicle and attacked him with the bat he was carrying.

Three other suspects were with him during the attack. One of those men, Demonte Smith, admitted to being at the scene of the attack and stated that Pearson is the one that grabbed the bat from the victim and hit him.
Bailey went into a coma as a result of his injuries and has been recovering for months. We spoke to his mother after Pearson’s plea and she said her son is out of the hospital and moving into rehab. He is no longer fighting for his life, but the family will need to find a handicapped accessible home and may need a custom wheelchair.
