NYT’s Josh Barro Points and Splutters at the “Dehumanizing” Term Anchor Baby

Over at the New York Times op-ed page, Josh Barro’s panties are in a bunch because of the term “anchor babies.”

“Just What Do You Mean by ‘Anchor Baby?” the headline huffs.

Here’s what I mean: It’s a pequeño muchacho born here because his illegal parents are trying an end-run around our immigration laws.

And just what do you mean by American citizen, señor? It ain’t what you say it is: anyone fortunate enough to be born (at taxpayer expense) an American hospital.
