The Blacks are certainly not doing themselves any favors with this Oscars boycott thing – they’re simply making themselves look like massive whiners – spoiled, ungrateful brats.

They are asking for a quota system, apparently, which makes absolutely no sense. Except that it does make sense, because they are used to getting absolutely everything they want, and so will demand anything and freak-out if they don’t get it.

Along with exposing the whiny nature of the Negro people, the situation also created an opportunity to talk about anti-White racism by the Blacks, and a British actress did just that.

ITV News:

Actress Charlotte Rampling has said the boycott of the Oscars over the diversity row is “racist to white people”.

The Oscar nominee, 69, is up for the best actress gong for her part in British marital drama 45 Years.

The Oscars has been criticised over its failure to nominate a single black actor for the second year running.

Rampling – who has plenty of awards to her name but not yet an Oscar – told French radio network Europe 1: “It is racist to whites”.

She added: “One can never really know, but perhaps the black actors did not deserve to make the final list.”

When asked if the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences should introduce quotas, she said: “Why classify people? These days everyone is more or less accepted.”

When the interviewer explains that black members of the film industry feel like a minority, Rampling replies: “No comment.”

Of course, today she apologized.

There’s always an apology.

But this one seemed slightly less extreme than most “sorry for your feelings” apologies.

The Guardian:

Actor Charlotte Rampling has clarified her controversial claim that the uproar over the lack of black Oscar nominees was ”racist to white people”.

In a statement to CBS News, Rampling, who is nominated in the best actress category, said: “I regret that my comments could have been misinterpreted.”

“I simply meant to say that in an ideal world every performance will be given equal opportunities for consideration.

“Diversity in our industry is an important issue that needs to be addressed,” she said in a statement issued on Friday night. “I am highly encouraged by the changes announced today by the academy to diversify its membership.”

Rampling was a somewhat iconic model in her younger days.
