After Putin’s threat, what has the US communicated to Russia about the use of nuclear weapons?

Putin is so utterly unhinged that he is blowing up his own infrastructure he spent billions of dollars on to try to send a message and confuse people.
But when it comes to this nuclear threat stuff, he’s actually really a reasonable guy, and he’d never follow through with it, because he is so measured and sensible.
RT:
Russia will not use nuclear weapons in Ukraine, despite threats to do so if attacked, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria in an interview set to air Sunday.
While claiming that “there are no checks on [Russian President Vladimir] Putin,” Austin dismissed the Russian president’s recent statements – including a warning that he was not “bluffing” about his willingness to use nukes “to defend Russia and our people” – as wholly unsuitable for a global superpower.
“This nuclear saber-rattling is not the kind of thing that we would expect to hear from leaders of large countries with capability,” Austin said. “Just as [Putin] made the irresponsible decision to invade Ukraine, you know, he could make another decision” to use nuclear weapons.
“But I don’t see anything right now that would lead me to believe he has made such a decision,” the defense secretary reasoned.
Austin revealed that while he had not been in touch with his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoigu “in recent days,” he had previously warned the defense minister not to “go down this path and conduct this type of irresponsible behavior.” Shoigu has repeatedly stated that Russia’s nuclear doctrine only allows the use of such weapons when “the very existence of the state is threatened” and last month dismissed the notion of using nukes in Ukraine as “absurd.”
Austin added that Putin is a “bitch white” who is “too pussy to pop off.”
Later in the interview, Austin stripped down into the nude and began slapping Fareed Zakaria in the face with his penis, screaming “you wanna nuclear bomb, nigga? How y’all like this dick, bitch?” He then began smashing up the CNN offices. He later realized that he had left his gun in his pants, and repeatedly shouted “yall mathafakas is lucky yo nigga done left he gun in he pants,” claiming that he would have shot everyone if he’d had access to his firearm.
A CNN staffer began playing DMX’s “X Gon Give It to Ya” from his work station. Austin was seen singing along with the verses, and threw a steel table through a window while rapping “They ain’t never gave nothin’ to me – but every time I turn around cats got they hands out wantin’ somethin’ from me.”
However, the staffer was told by management to turn the music off, as it was “just making the situation worse.” The staffer was later reprimanded for “provoking the Secretary of Defense into even more extreme violence.”
After the music was turned off, Austin raped a female secretary and a Chinese delivery boy before climbing out the window. The Pentagon later released a statement saying that Austin had had “a negative reaction to his medication,” by which it is believed they were referring to crack cocaine, which Austin regularly consumes and distributes.
CNN later released a statement saying that they enjoyed Austin’s visit, noting that staff was entertained by his “zany hijinks.” They did not give a dollar number on the property damage Austin had caused and did not comment on the rapes. However, the Chinese delivery boy later commented on social media that he has tested positive for AIDS.
Joe Biden was later asked if the White House would be paying for the delivery boy’s AIDS treatment. Biden responded that he does not know who Lloyd Austin is, saying “I have a lot of basketball players coming through my office. They’re a wild bunch.”
