As in: “HANDS OFF MY FREEDOM FLAG, YOU COMMIE PERVERT!”
A Maryland school district is investigating why a Nazi flag was hanging in a classroom window over the weekend, where it was “clearly visible” to people attending a basketball game, school officials said.

The district said it would conduct an internal investigation and “take appropriate steps to ensure an incident such as this is not repeated.”
Whatever step you take it better be a step that counters a GOOSE STEP!

“The values of FCPS are in direct contrast to the message represented by that flag, and we apologize that the display of this flag caused hurt in our community,” the statement said.
The flag was hung during a World War II history class at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, northeast of Baltimore, the district said.
On Saturday, a person who identified herself as a graduate of the district posted a photo of the flag on Facebook. She said it was seen during one of the most important sports events in the district — a basketball game Friday night between Thomas Johnson and Frederick high schools.
“What culturally proficient educator has a ‘life’ size Nazi flag in their tool kit and then has the audacity to hang it OVER THEIR CLASSROOM WINDOW IN THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL BUILDING BY THE MAIN ENTRANCE,” the poster wrote on Facebook along with the image.
The flag represented “irresponsibility and privilege at its highest levels,” she wrote.
A peasant workers’ uprising represented PRIVILEGE?

I get the whole “oh they rounded up innocent Jew pornographers, slumlords, loan sharks and terrorists! The was POY-SUK-U-SHUN!” It is obviously bullshit, but I’m familiar with it. I am not familiar with the claim that the Nazis were “privileged.” This is obviously injecting dumb 2010s American gibberish on an older thing that was also “BAD WHITE PEOPLE DID BAD THINGS.”
The Jews had complete and total control of every level of Weimar Germany, and basically every high ranking member of the NSDAP was straight off the farm. There were no black people to oppress with privilege. This person is trying to project Donald Trump hating Somalian asylum seekers onto Adolf Hitler and it is dumb.
In actual fact, this whole concept of continuing to mix definitions of “populism,” which necessarily means “working class,” with “privilege,” which I think means “wealthy” has gotten to the point where these memes make about as much sense as the plot of an Alex Kurtzman Star Trek show.
