A Spartanburg police officer shot and killed a man who officials say was stabbing a woman at an apartment complex Wednesday afternoon. The suspect and the victim have both died.
Authorities got a 911 call from an open line at Canaan Pointe Apartments off Highway 295. Voices on the other end indicated it was a domestic dispute.
Once officers arrived, they say a woman was heard crying and in distress from inside the apartment.
As one officer forced entry, investigators say the victim was already being stabbed repeatedly.
The man has been identified as Donte Adaryll Noble (41). The coroner’s office says the stabbing victim is Katrina Ann Sova (32).
The two have one child together and according to reports, Noble was angry about Sova “moving on.”
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has been called in to investigate the officer-involved shooting.
The police department says the officer involved, who has served the department for more than three years, along with two others have been placed on administrative leave.
