All the different fascist movements had their basis in the Christian principle of putting the needs of the nation before the needs of the individual.

At the time of National Socialism, there were 56 million Lutheran Protestants and 30 million Roman Catholics in Germany.

In Romania the League of St Michael the Arch-Angel were Orthodox and in Britain and America the majority of fascists were Protestants.

Atheists and those who hated religion were to be found among the Marxists and Bolsheviks who destroyed churches and declared war upon God himself.

This essay by Robert Best explains the links between fascism and religion concentrating mainly on National Socialism and the British Union of Fascists.

Fascism updated and expanded upon Christian solutions to the social problem and put them into action.

He who will not work, should not expect to be fed, love your neighbour as yourself and be prepared to lay down your life for your nation, were all essential tenets of both Fascism and Christianity.

Fascism even managed to reconcile Nietzsche with Christ, as explained by Mosley and narrated by Sven Longshanks at the end of this podcast.
