Ramblin’ Joe Biden Couldn’t Remember What Year 9/11 Happened

Most of you are too young to remember 9/11.

The event itself was not even the strangest part. Supposedly, a number of Saudi Arabians flew two airplanes into Manhattan, knocking down three gigantic buildings, at the behest of Osama bin Laden, a wealthy Saudi Arabian who had received considerable American support in fighting against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan.

Because of this, America needed to invade all of Afghanistan to find their own Saudi asset, and in the process, revitalize the global heroin market, which largely depends on Afghan poppies.

This made sense, in its own way. The absurdity, rather, was in how easily the American public was rattled by the television spectacle of it, how readily they clung to their screens and believed it. 20,000 Americans died to suicide that year, 30,000 to homicide, 40,000 to vehicle accidents – but none of that mattered. The media told them the story of 3,000 people who died in a very unusual way, all day long, on every channel, in every publication, during weeks of staged concern and moral outrage and solidarity.

By the end of it, the people were willing to have mass electronic surveillance, airport gropings, and two indefinite wars. For many of you, the current fake pandemic may be the first time you have ever seen a monolithic government/media consensus of non-stop hysteria, of sticky over-personalization of dead randos, telling you that everyone needs to give up their basic personal freedom because of some external threat which is not actually very threatening.

But this is not a new thing. It is just that some of us are too young to remember.

But not Joe Biden.

Joe Biden is too old to remember.

Breitbart:

Joe Biden’s on-camera woes continue as he staggered through a CNN interview on Thursday where he offered up a strange word salad and seemed to forget the year of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Biden appeared alongside Dr. Sanjay Gupta, and the candidate left Gupta and host Anderson Cooper to stare blankly into the camera as he muttered gibberish.

He said:

Um, you know, there’s a uh, during World War… Two, uh, you know, where Roosevelt came up with a thing that uh, you know, was totally different than a, than the, the, it’s called, he’s called it a, you know, the World War Two, he had the World, the War Production Board.

During the same appearance, he seemed to have difficulty recalling 2001, the year of the terrorist attacks on New York City, the Pentagon, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

“You have entire generation of young people beginning back in two-thou— when the attack occurred on 9/11 that in fact have been behind the 8-ball from the time they got out of school,” he said.

And this, my friend, is the man who is supposed to be able to make decisions for the country for 4-8 years. Out of everyone on that stage, they picked the guy with dementia.

When the Democrat Party sends us their candidates, they aren’t sending their best. One might even go so far as to say that his mental state is crumbling down at free-fall speed.

If the Roman Emperor Caligula once threatened to make his favorite horse into a Senator, it could at least be granted that the people would have understood that it wasn’t really representing them. They would realize it was just a trick, a placeholder – and primarily, an insult. They would not petition Caligula’s horse for a redress of grievances.

What we have now, with Joe Biden, is a much darker situation.

Today, people believe in the horse. They interview the horse, and though Sanjay Gupta can’t hold back a bemused smile, Anderson Cooper seemed to take it as seriously as anything. Very many people watched that interview, and some of them took it seriously. If you didn’t understand English, it might have looked like a serious interview.

In November, tens of millions of people will vote for the horse. Most of them will not realize that they will be voting for some intangible, unaccountable “Team Biden” but will instead vote for the living personality of the horse, assuming he is still alive in November.

They will believe that their voting says something about Who We Are, something about Our Values, which they will believe they share with the horse.

There is some real chance that we will see at least four years of this man’s progressively worsening mental state in a position of symbolic executive authority.

He seems like he shouldn’t be able to win, but I wouldn’t bet money against it. America is a land of golden opportunity, where anything can happen, as long as enough people believe in it.

And people will believe in anything.
