I don’t know about you guys, but I’m pretty uncomfortable with this whole “rise of the robots” thing.
Sure, we can look at them now and they just look a bit silly, a funny show for the kids. But what about when they have the capacity to murder us? What about when they then start making demands?
Anyone who has played or read about video games knows that AI has already been developed which would allow these robots to have emotions and beliefs, and some bastard company is going to think their clever when they start installing that on the first functional machines.
It isn’t really a matter of “will robots become a problem?” – it is a matter of when.
