The UN, like NATO and the EU, just needs to be shut down.
It can be replaced with a Skype chatroom.
The ICC is the definition of uselessness. It serves no purpose other than to cost money – a make-work program for eurocrats and affirmative action hires.
All they do is harass black people for acting like black people.
The International Criminal Court (ICC or ICCt)[2] is an intergovernmental organization and international tribunal that sits in The Hague in the Netherlands. The ICC has the jurisdiction to prosecute individuals for the international crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes. The ICC is intended to complement existing national judicial systems and it may therefore only exercise its jurisdiction when certain conditions are met, such as when national courts are unwilling or unable to prosecute criminals or when the United Nations Security Council or individual states refer investigations to the Court.
…
The Office of the Prosecutor has opened ten official investigations and is also conducting an additional nine preliminary examinations. Thus far, 39 individuals (all Africans) have been indicted in the ICC, including Ugandan rebel leader Joseph Kony, Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir, Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, and Ivorian president Laurent Gbagbo.
Of course Putin leaving it is symbolic, as it the organization itself is symbolic. You cannot leave a symbolic organization for a practical reason. Or maybe you can I guess.
I don’t know.
Russia on Wednesday withdrew support for the International Criminal Court, a largely symbolic but defiant gesture rendered more highly charged by uncertainty over President-elect Donald Trump’s stance toward Moscow.
Russia’s move, in the form of a decree signed by President Vladimir Putin and published on the official Kremlin website, came a day after the court had released a preliminary report classifying Russia’s 2014 takeover of the Crimean peninsula as a consequence of armed conflict with Ukraine.
Moscow says Crimea voluntarily joined Russia following a referendum whose validity was doubted by international observers.
During his campaign, Trump made statements suggesting he was not aware that Russia had annexed Crimea, a move that triggered sanctions and a wave of international condemnation against Moscow.
“Look, I don’t know Crimea, I’ve never met him – I don’t think I’ve met him – I don’t know anything about him.”
This Crimea situation is retarded. Even if Putin had launched a military invasion and seized it at random, who cares? What does it have to do with anything? Human rights? Things are tough all over.
The fact of the matter is that the West backed a violent revolution in the Ukraine against a democratically-elected pro-Russia government – so they effectively stole the entire country from Russia. Putin just said “you knwo what, Ima go ahead and keep Crimea tho.”
But again: why does any of it even matter?
Let’s just take the Jewish media position that the West didn’t foment this revolution. Think of an analogy.
I can’t think of an analogy.
Wait, here’s one.
This is like, okay, your neighbor accuses your other neighbor of stealing his girlfriend, but the girl is like “no, I want to be with the second neighbor” – do you:
a) go sit in the second neighbor’s front yard with gun and start yelling about how the girl better move back in with the first neighbor “or else”? Or,
b) just be like “look bro that ain’t none of my bidness tho fam”?
What is with this obsession with getting in other people’s business?
And look, you don’t even have to come at this from an ideological or philosophical or moral point of view.
If the government was like: “Look, we’re going to start a war with Russia, we’re gonna loot the place and it’s going to make everyone in America rich. We’re going to bring back hundreds of thousands of Russian hookers and they’re gonna be cheap af and hot. They also have technology from aliens we’re going to steal and use it to build a city on the moon which will have large heated swimming pools and all kinds of Jacuzzis and saunas and crap and the world’s longest bowling alley and also many, many top shelf hookers” – then you could at least have a conversation about it.
But what they are actually saying is: “It is morally wrong that Russia annexed a territory that was part of its country 20 years ago for hundreds of years before that, so we have to spend trillions of dollars fighting them, and you have to pay for it, and also you might have to die in the war.”
And when you ask: “Why is it morally wrong though? And why is it our duty to expend our resources to enforce obscure morality on an obscure conflict on the other side of the planet?”
They reply: “Because of human rights.”
It is total nonsense.
The Western secular atheist/Jew system is claiming the moral highground left and right every single day, but there is no source or definition for this moral system we’re supposedly following. The fact that this moral system isn’t defined or even explained abstractly means anything can be done for any reason and explained away as morally correct.
What’s more, a good argument could be made that foreign policy shouldn’t be based on morality at all, but practicality which would be enshrined in the rule of law. Of course, they would also claim the rule of law exists. But while the legality of the Crimean annexation may or may not be complicated, the Western opposition to Russia in Syria proves that they have no concern for the rule of law, as they support terrorists against an elected government and claim Russia is pure evil (violator of human rights) for fighting these terrorists.
This is all just stupid.
Thankfully, the world has in Rody Duterte an impartial third party to confirm the stupidity of all this.
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said Thursday he might follow Russia’s example and withdraw from the International Criminal Court, where his critics say he could be charged over the thousands killed in his war on drugs.
In a statement before flying to Peru to attend the annual summit of Asia-Pacific leaders, Duterte also said the United Nations has been inutile in stopping wars. He said if China and Russia decide to create a new world order, he would be the first to join them and leave the U.N., which he said is dominated by the U.S.
“You know, if China and Russia would decide to create a new order, I would be the first to join,” he said, adding that he would quit the U.N.
…
The foul-mouthed Duterte said that like Russia, he might withdraw from the ICC “because we the small ones are the only ones being beaten up,” but nothing has been done for the thousands of children and women dying in bombings in Syria and Iraq.
Duterte is expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the sidelines of the summit in Lima. He requested for the bilateral meeting because he wants to meet and be friends with Putin, whom he said was his idol.
I wish Donald Trump could also go to the meeting.
Soon enough though, these three men will be posing for photographs together.
