The captain of a US nuclear aircraft carrier has pleaded for help from the Navy, amid a growing coronavirus outbreak on the vessel, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The Theodore Roosevelt nuclear aircraft carrier, which is currently docked in Guam in order to quarantine the personnel, has more than 100 cases of the virus on board and its captain has asked the Navy for support in order to provide adequate isolation facilities.

Brett Crozier, the captain of the ship sent a letter to the Navy asking for the crew of 5,000 to be isolated completely in order to try and stop the spread of the outbreak.

The letter obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle outlines that the health and safety of the sailors onboard should be the priority right now.

“This will require a political solution but it is the right thing to do,” Mr Crozier wrote. “We are not at war. Sailors do not need to die. If we do not act now, we are failing to properly take care of our most trusted asset — our Sailors.”

Oh my God, you guys.

DEAR SAILORS: YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DIE. NO ONE WHO IS IN THE NAVY IS IN THE DEMOGRAPHIC OF PEOPLE WHO CAN DIE FROM THIS DISEASE. YOU HAVE TO BE FAT OR OLD.

And even if these death percentages were correct – and they absolutely are not, they are at least ten times higher than they should be because they are counting from the total number tested, not the total number actually infected – then you only have a .2% chance of dying.

I understand that this is mass hysteria. I’m the one who identified the phenomenon. But surely, guys in their twenties in the military are going to be some of the least susceptible to this…?

I guess it’s the superior officers, who are probably boomers, who are organizing the freakout.

It’s just so hard to sit here looking at all of these people saying the flu is going to kill them, when they’re creating a situation that is inevitably going to kill millions of random people.

This is literally the most serious event in all of human history. The center of a global empire has simply shut down, and the economy is going to collapse, and this is going to cause mass homelessness, crime, suicide, murder, child murder, and possibly even create a literal Mad Max type world of total violence across the entire Western World.

I mean, I support it.

And it’s sure going to be funny when all these people who caused this with their dumb freakout end up dead because of the results of the freakout.
