A second Chilton County man is charged with felony corpse abuse in connection with the case of a Clanton mother whose body was found in Shelby County last month.
Allen Dion Jones, 44, of Jemison, was arrested by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, according to court records made public Wednesday.
He is the second person charged with abusing the corpse of Melissa Ann Cleckler, whose body was found Nov. 2 on Egg and Butter Road near Oak Drive in Columbiana. On Dec. 1, 42-year-old Anthony Scott Germany was arrested on the same charge. Both are jailed with bonds set at $250,000.
