Some Brief Meta Notes on the State of the Stormer

Sorry about the downtime Saturday. I didn’t exactly forget to pay a bill this time. It was sort of a little bit more complicated than that.

As you’ll recall, I spilled gin on my computer and then got a new computer. Then I had to go to a different town for a week, and forgot my backups, so I had to take a train back to get my other computer to pay.

The other thing is: I have an app now that people can message me on if they want to donate.

You download this app at getsession.org for any device (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS).

Then you copy and paste this contact ID (by pushing “new message):

05572128ee1967255089ef79d7ad652b5c6765665b8299e294e05a37ac96dd0936

Or scan this QR code:

I intended to do a donation drive and then sort of forgot about it. (I actually didn’t have access to this either for the last week, so if you sent crypto and wanted a confirmation, please request it again and I will confirm.)

Anyway, I am giving out this app contact information, but I am asking you: please only contact me if you want to send money. A lot of people were sending me “hello, how are you?” type message, and this is of course nice and so on, and I wish I could respond to everyone, but that is not possible.

If you really want to talk to me, I’ll talk on the phone for $500 an hour. I’m sure that sounds assholish, or whatever. But look at the amount of work I do, imagine I am always a human being and have a real life, then imagine thinking I can read 15,000 word messages from some rando on the internet. This is not reasonable. But yes, I am stupidly broke, so if you want to talk to me, I have to ask for $500 an hour. This actually could help to keep the site feasible, as it could replace my other job.

Right now, there are a lot of people wanting to pay this. So, it’s going well.

(We can talk about whatever, I don’t care, just as long as you’re not totally abusive. I don’t care if you’re drunk, but I’ll make sure I’m not.)

Please do not send me “hey I just wanted to let you know I love your work.” It’s always great to hear, but this app is not designed for this many messages.

Understand: I would love to just sit around chatting or talking to you friends all day. But there are now 700 people on that app. I am going to have to start blocking or muting people who are just writing to say ‘”hello.” Please understand that this is in no way personal. Just respect that it is clearly impossible. Right now, even if I quit working on the DS, quit my other work, stopped fulfilling my real life obligations, and stopped sleeping completely, it would still be impossible to keep up with these messages.

So: you can pay me $500 an hour to talk on the phone (within the app), and if you send money, I’ll also try to answer your questions in the chat.

If you want to send Monero, that is already private, so you can just use this address:

4BHE9T5HUqbRzsAaq5grGq31G3JevBD1RBNbRdWQLg8ESYugNNyyAnt2JL9ZuWA1w72g4LPr25rSHjQJS6MwANT3MMJFA16

And this is the official and legit Monero QR code:

If you want to send Bitcoin or ETH, please just send me a message and I will send you a private address that can’t be traced.

You can send from CashApp, Venmo, Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, whatever – it will be a unique address and I will never mix the coins so I can promise security. There is regrettably no way to send cash at all, so please do not ask. (Also please don’t offer suggestions; I have been banned from PO boxes for more than 7 years and trust me, I’ve thought of whatever your suggestion is. I’m sure you’re just trying to help, but I just can’t hardly take it anymore, these suggestions.)

I thought the general tone of the site increased last week though, no?

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. I can’t believe I’m 27 years old already.

Time really flies.
