A farm attack took place on 24 July 2019, at 06:30, in Brits, North West province. The attack took place on the plot De Kroon where a woman was severely assaulted by four attackers when her husband took the children to school. The woman was beaten over the head with a crowbar and has been hospitalised. The perimeter fence had been cut and the attackers moved in and out through this whilst ransacking the home.
There have been a number of attacks in the area recently and it is suspected that it is the same gang that are responsible. During the attack the safe, electronic equipment and other items were robbed.
