A farm murder has taken place in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal province. On 15 June 2019, a farm worker, Luan Preston was found murdered in his room on Davids Farm, Oslo beach. There were signs of a struggle between Luan and his attackers as the bedroom was in disarray. Luan had marks on his face and neck indicating that he was strangled by his attackers. Unknown weapons were also used to assault Luan.
There were 10cm lacerations on Luan’s face and pools of blood in the bedroom. Several items were stolen including a TV, cell phones and a laptop. Emergency services were on the scene, there have been no arrests.
