New information has now emerged about the rape against a young woman in Piteå, police say.
It was before midnight last Friday night that a young woman of 20 years old was raped during the Piteå festival.
In total, ten men were involved in the rape. One of them raped the girl, then she managed to escape.

This is what the police wrote on their website today:
“Between 23.00 and 23.55, the defendant, a woman in her 20s, is in the center of Piteå at the intersection of Uddmansgatan / Prästgårdsgatan. This is during the street festival Piteådansar and smiles are going on. While she stood there, ten men arrive. The men are said to be dark-haired and dark-skinned, and after a while two of the men grab hold of her wrists and lead her to a garage located on Prästgårdsgatan, then they go from Uddmansgatan after Prästgårdsgatan and towards Lillbrogatan. The other eight men are completely passive, but still come along. Inside the garage, one of the men performs an act against the woman who according to the law is considered rape. The woman then manages to get away from there.”
