Serena Williams might not have any umpires to officiate her future tennis matches. Many umpires are considering a boycott to protest the treatment of chair umpire Carlos Ramos.
After Serena Williams went full ape on chair umpire Carlos Ramos during the final match of the US Open tennis tournament this past weekend, Ramos has been painted as a very bad guy. Williams accused him of taking part in a “sexist” conspiracy against her and the Jew-run media has been more than happy to parrot this ridiculous view. That’s because she’s a privileged independent monkey womyn and has special elevated rights not afforded to the rest of us.
The head of the World Tennis Association Steve Simon even sided with Williams over Ramos.
BBC:
Serena Williams’ claims of sexism in the US Open final have been backed by the governing body of women’s tennis.
WTA chief executive Steve Simon said the umpire showed Williams a different level of tolerance over Saturday’s outbursts than if she had been a man.
She got a code violation for coaching, a penalty point for racquet abuse and a game penalty for calling the umpire a “thief” in the defeat by Naomi Osaka.
The American said it was “sexist” to have been penalised a game.
“The WTA believes that there should be no difference in the standards of tolerance provided to the emotions expressed by men versus women,” Simon said in a statement.
It’s probably safe to assume that Simon is a Jew. There are many Jews with the last name Simon and backing Williams over Ramos is something we have primarily seen from blacks, Jews and self-proclaimed independent womyns.
Almost nobody else outside of those groups is supporting Williams though. Even some ESPN personalities like Will Cain broke ranks and called out Williams for her childish behavior.
The bottom line is that Ramos was just doing his job. He’s been a chair umpire for men’s matches and issued similar types of penalties to top male players like Rafael Nadal and others. His umpiring history undermines the “sexism” argument made by Williams. The key difference is that none of the male players went into emotional hysterics about the penalties and simply went on with their matches. Williams was incapable of doing this.
Tennis umpires are now considering a boycott of future Serena Williams’ matches over the treatment of Ramos by the WTA and other organizations in the tennis world.
Fellow umpires don’t want to be the next Carlos Ramos.
There is an uneasy feeling amid tennis umpires after the WTA and USTA took Serena Williams’ side following her on-court feud with Ramos during Saturday’s US Open final. The Times of London reported that some umpires are considering boycotting Williams’ matches.
Ramos, 47, was “thrown to the wolves for simply doing his job and was not willing to be abused for it,” one anonymous umpire told the English paper.
Ramos called three violations on Williams: once for coaching, once for racket abuse and once for verbal abuse after she called him a “thief” and a “liar” during the second set of her 6-2, 6-4 loss to Naomi Osaka. Williams was fined a total of $17,000 for the violations.
USTA president Katrina Adams celebrated Williams’ class in the post-match presentation, and the WTA seemingly backed her claim that the penalties were sexist in a statement. The ITF sided with Ramos — two days later — calling him “one of the most experienced and respected umpires in tennis.”
Hopefully the umpires go through with the boycott. Williams won’t be winning a whole lot of matches if there are no umpires willing to officiate them.
Of course, if we lived in a sane world, Williams would have been banned from the sport a long time ago. She’s obviously a user of performance enhancement drugs and despite her claims otherwise, does in fact cheat to win.
But overall, this incident has helped us tremendously in the culture war. An Australian paper which published a cartoon depicting the Williams’ meltdown, is doubling down on it and criticizing over the top political correctness. This occurred after the cartoonist was called “racist” on social media for daring to portray a black womyn in a negative way.
This just proves that people are becoming increasingly fatigued with this perpetual outrage culture. You can only be outraged over so many things for so long before you start looking foolish. And obviously, we’ve past that point a very long time ago.
