Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson joins Sven Longshanks for Monday’s edition of The Daily Traditionalist to talk about the futility of voting and exceptions to the rule. Generally in a democracy you will never get a decent choice of who to vote for and by voting you give legitimacy to the democratic process, which basically puts the banker’s favourites in power. However the Brexit vote and the upcoming American election are both exceptions to this rule. The Brexit vote actually gave the British people a chance to make their vote count and Donald Trump making it to Republican presidential nominee has done the same.
Matt talks about how he has always engaged in activism, but never actually voted as this meant endorsing the corrupt system. But we have had decades of saying the worse it gets, the more people come to Nationalism. This has not worked and there are no credible Nationalist parties in Britain and none in America. Now we have been given a chance to take a different tack and vote for someone who will actually push things in our direction and we should take that chance.
Voting should not be seen as the solution to our problems, but a complimentary action to go alongside protests, demonstrations, stickering, conventions, shit-posting and meme creation. All of these activities help our cause and supporting Trump is probably the easiest and safest one of the lot.
Sven brings up some of the points that Trump raised during the recent debate that confirm much of what Matt has been saying in his podcasts, about Russia, Clinton’s war-mongering and America’s defensive capabilities, before finishing the podcast by explaining why Clinton scored a massive own goal by praising Trump’s children at the end of the debate.
