Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson joins Sven Longshanks for the first Daily Traditionalist of the week to talk about Fidel Castro and Cuba. Dr Johnson feels we should give credit where credit is due and that although Castro was an anti-racist, he did manage to resist imperialism but the problems with their economy were not caused by the American sanctions, but through mismanagement due to Marxist principles. Castro also took a stand against degeneracy and Liberalism, making the country very anti-gay for his lifetime. He realised that things which were harmful to the family were harmful to the nation, so he did promote family values.

Cultural Marxism was just a weapon to be used against the West, it was not something that the Soviet countries adhered to themselves. Dr Johnson thinks they realised in the twenties that this would destroy their revolution if they allowed it to continue, so after the brief experiments where homosexuality and paedophilia were promoted in German schools it was put a stop to.

After explaining some of the history of Cuba and it’s relationship with America, Dr Johnson brings up the subject of Guantanamo Bay and how it is a piece of American soil on Cuba, that proves there has always been an avenue of communication between the two countries. Is it like an American embassy, or is it more like Hong Kong, which was leased to Britain for a hundred years?

Apparently there has been some dispute over whether Castro was good for us or not, so Dr Johnson advises praising him for the good that he did but at the same time, condemning him for the harm that he caused.
